The book
Frédéric Mauro and Olivier Jehin
Defending Europe — a plea for a European Army
His book, co-written with Olivier Jehin. It asks the question every publication since has examined: can Europe defend itself?
Approach
European defence is a legal construction as much as a political reality. Understanding it requires a simultaneous command of law, military matters, the arms industry and the political balance between member states.
My work is to make this complexity operational — for the institutions, industries and states engaged in it.
